My favorite day of the week has got to be Sunday. Roll outta bed, go to church and if I’m lucky, the entire family is free to have lunch before scurrying off to run their errands. When the fam comes together, there’s really only one cuisine we can all compromise on - Thai.

T for Thai sits on the second floor above French restaurant Cuivre. They’ve got a very modern take on their interior design with chic gray walls, crinkled metal sheets patched on the ceilings, fancy iPad menus and a bar decked out in digital forest greens.

First thing we ordered was their Chicken Wings.

We were pleased with the tender meat and the accompanying sauce.

Next was the Crab Fried Rice.

Meh, nothing special. Probably wouldn’t order again.

Can’t go to a Thai restaurant and not order their Morning Glory.

Extremely satisfied with this order. With a slightly heavier hint of shrimp flavoring, this is probably one of the best morning glory dishes I’ve had so far in Shanghai. Would definitely come back just to order it again.

Next, we had their Green Curry Chicken.

hick and creamy with traces of lemongrass and coconut – we approve.

Next we had their Lamb Massaman Curry.

Personally not a fan of lamb myself and I found the curry a bit too heavy for my liking.

Then their Stir Fried Broccoli.

Very standard, you’d probably be better off taste testing something else.

We then had the Beef Basil with Onions.

This was one of my favorites as well. The minced beef paired well with the small chopped onions and tasted even better over rice.

Lastly, we had their Prawn Yellow Curry.

Hellooooo, we’ve hit the jackpot. If you’re wondering what to order, don’t hesitate to point your finger at this curry. Generous portion of yellow garlic curry paste rich with spices topped with giant crispy prawns.

Overall, the highlight dishes include their Morning Glory, Green Curry and Prawn Yellow Curry. Though this place makes a pretty decent dent in the wallet, we were extremely impressed with the majority of our orders. We’ll definitely be coming back for our favorite dishes for future Sundays to come.
